TRX2 general TX coverage

Postby DF2MZ » 19 Nov 2012 16:27

Dear All,

is it possible to modify the Juma TRX2 firmware for general TX coverage?

Best regards

Edgar,

JUMA TRX2 and TRX2A standard firmware in is not limiting TX frequency coverage. You can transmit on any frequency from 1.5MHz to 30MHz.

Note that the PA low-pass filters are optimized for ham bands 1.8MHz - 28MHz. This may mean more harmonics on non ham frequencies especially in low edge of the LPF range. The change over frequencies for LPF filters are 2MHz, 4MHz, 8MHz, 15MHz.

Hi Matti,

that qualifies the TRX2 as IF system for VHF/UHF transverters. This way I could use the 20 - 30 MHz to cover 430 - 440 MHz in one piece without the need to use many LO frequencies. And I would remain well within the 15 - 30 MHz LPF.

Thanks and best regards
