HEF74HC4052 (related to RX1)

Postby OH2CBD » 21 Apr 2021 07:29

Dear fellow hams

I’m having troubles finding suitable part for D1 on RX board. It seems to have quite specific requirements (has to be Philips).

I was able to purchase Philips branded but it has label ”PC74HC4052T” so no HEF available.

I also got Nexperia ”HEF4052BT”.

Would any of these work on RX1?

Hi,

both versions that you have should work. I had a similar problem when i build together with my fellows in the lab some RX-1 receivers and made a confusion between HCT4052T and HC4052BT, and it did not work since first one is low-level CMOS with TTL compatibility. We built more than 20 pcs. RX-1 receivers so if you need help please drop me a line here or better via email etc.

Nexperia is the former business for Standard Components of NXP Semiconductors, which is formerly Philips Semic. You can find 74HC4052B in EU, here (Transfer Multisort Elektronik, based in Poland):

https://www.tme.eu/fi/en/details/74hc40 ... /nexperia/

or here at Farnell: https://fi.farnell.com/nexperia/74hc405 ... C4052D,653

Also this technical file from NXP/Nexperia might be usefull:

Please let me know if you need more help!
