Time goes by

Hello Juma fans,

Time goes by and it is sad to say that the older Juma rigs have retired. Good news is that all the documentation and the PCB gerber files are available for your projects www.jumaradio.com

We are currently focusing on the 1kW amplifier JUMA PA1000. It is the lightest weight 1kW amplifier on the market. It is active and available as a fully constructed and tested amplifier. Read more here www.jumaradio.com/juma-pa1000

There are also other interesting Juma equipment which can be found in my ham project page www.saunalahti.fi/hohtola/ham/ham-projects.html

Hi Matti,

it is great news that your Juma PA1000 is still in production and fully supported as it is one of the best and compact amplifier on the market. Unfortunately never been implemented full PIN diodes QSK...

PA1000 is using a quite high speed SMD relay for T/R switching. The max operate time is 4ms and max release time is 6ms. Although the relay is quite fast the lifetime of 100.10e6 mechanical operations is limiting the endurance in QSK. So it is not a vacuum or a solid state solution and it is not fully noiseless.

Anyway it is great PA, the only one on the market able to get full power from QRP rig!
As you know I am big fun of Juma (RX1, TRX1, TRX2) and PA1000 is still on my wish list...

I wish you good luck Matti,

Hi, Matti,

I have to say that I am really sad that the Juma TRX-2 and PA-100D are now being retired. I well understand the commercial aspects of producing these kits, and, to be honest, I had rather hoped that there would be a TRX-3 with improved DDS chip as well as a couple of other hardware improvements, but, if this is the end of the road, then so be it.

Nevertheless, as long as you are prepared to give me space on the website, then I will continue to provide software and hardware support for these kits, at least for the foreseeable future, and I have really enjoyed modifying and upgrading the software for them over the last 8 years.

Hi Matti
a few years ago I mounted the TX500 kit for my portable tests. I find that the TX500 is a light solution with the FT817 especially for travel.
I intended to assemble KIT TX136 but you removed it from production. Do you intend to offer the KIT soon?
if not, As you offer the GERBER files for the TRX2A, is it possible to obtain the file for the TX136? .
thank you for your possible answer.

Hello Hubert,

Nice to hear that you like JUMA TX500. Unfortunately the "small" kits are discontinued. We are currently focusing on JUMA PA1000.
My plan is to share also the remaining PCB Gerber files of the "small" Juma kits soon, including TX136.

Hello
after removing the JUMA kits you made the gerber files available to the hamradio community - many thanks.
after my TX500 I just finished my TX136z transmitter with your files
it works very well with f4gcb firware v1.09.
