Juma TRX2A - new purchase

Postby M0KHZ » 09 Dec 2018 18:03

Hi All

I've just purchased a Juma TRX2A kit from the web store (10 December 2018), can't wait to get the soldering iron out once again (retirement loomimg = loads of shack time).
Lots of homebrew/SMD experience so construction shouldn't be an issue, but I'm sure I'll encounter issues and need help with my build, watchout for the questions :)

Hi Kevin,
Congratulations!
You'll like the TRX2A! Tried to e-mail you some info on the kit, but it bounced back. Is the e-mail address on 'QRZ.com' valid?
Let me know and we'll try again.

And when you have finished, why not give my firmware a try? The latest version is available on this website. If you need any assistance there are plenty of us available to provide help.

Hi Guys

I'm returning to the hobby after a few years break, retirment loomimg, I'll have to update my entry for QRZ.com :)
I'm in two minds to keep the kit in the box and wait until I retire to build (approx. 6 months) or just crack on with it :)

I'm returning to the hobby after donating all my old gear to the local school radio club, so I need to re-build a full station, I haven't even an antenna up at the moment!

Built not bought is the moto here, a few notable past projects include:
CDG2000, PIC-a-Star, part of the HPSDR Hermes development team, plus lots of clone equipment.
