Juma PA-100D v3.0c Build 6

This version is a maintenance build. It does not introduce any new features, but simply cleans up some code, and fixes some minor inconsistencies. For full details, read the comments in the file juma-pa100.c at line 481 onwards which covers version 3.00c. This version can be safely loaded over the p...

Re: PA100-D

Hi, Ed, No, as far as I am aware, the only technical description is that found on the web page related to this kit. Please be aware that the User Manual I have written is specifically intended for my modified firmware, which is significantly different from the original. My latest firmware is version...

Juma TRX-2 V.4.00a Build 6

Build 6 - 11/JAN/2018 This build optimises the Vibroplex contact bounce suppression logic by eliminating a redundant test, and ensuring that the contact bounce suppression timer is only set once on the initial contact closure detection. This version makes no EEPROM changes, and so can be safely load...

Re: Juma TRX2A and DSP

Hi, John, Taking another look, if you were to use a plug-in daughter board using the voice memory option connector, you have access to the audio in/out, microphone in/out as well as the SPI bus, and thus there is a possibility of incorporating an advanced DSP module without any surgery, or, at most ...

Re: Juma TRX2A and DSP

Hi, John, Whilst I do not know what may be the future intentions of the designers, I would have to say that, in my opinion, a DSP version of the TRX2A is highly unlikely, for the following reasons: 1. In order to digitally process the signal, there would have to be a connection from the audio stages...

Re: JUMA CMCD Xmitter Main Board components?

Hi, Mike,

I can at least answer your question regarding pin identification. As you say, not all modern ICs have their pins identified. In this case there is a chamfered edge on one side, and if this oriented vertically, then pin 1 is at the top, as shown in the attached image.

Juma TRX-2 V4.00a

26-November-2017 Build 4 provides a minor enhancement to the Split Mode, as well as a CW Annunciation bug fix. SPLIT MODE ENHANCEMENT In the previous firmware if VFO-B was accidentally left in the TUNE mode when selecting the SPLIT mode, on pressing the PTT switch, only the tuning carrier would be t...

Juma TRX-2 Firmware Version 4.00a

There is now a new version of my firmware for the Juma TRX-2, version 4.0a, which adds the feature whereby the user can now choose the type of VFO equalisation when operating in the A/B+Split mode. See the section of this website that deals with my firmware modifications.

Re: TRX2A I/Q phase balance adjustment

Hi, Jef, OK, let's see if we can explain this. The output from the DDS on pin 21, Iout, is a current that is converted to a voltage by the input resistor, R15/200 ohms, of the low pass filter. The complementary output from pin 20, Ioutb, is similarly converted to a voltage by R12/100 Ohms. Both the ...
